How to play Banana Game

Start with the first drop, then check merge scores and shake tokens. The Strategy page uses recorded positions to practise choosing a landing route.

What to watch in your first round

The fruit hanging above the board is the one you are about to drop. The small box on the right shows the next one. Move your current fruit, then release it: it will hit the pile and roll. It does not travel straight through the stack to the position you aimed at.

The drop queue contains blueberries, strawberries, kiwis and grapes. Apples and larger fruit are made on the board. Instead of waiting for an apple to appear in the queue, work on bringing two grapes together.

  1. Find the first surface, not just the matching fruit

A matching fruit under a large one is not an open target. Follow the drop line to the first surface it will hit. A rounded side can send it sideways; the inside of a banana can hold it in place.

  2. Leave a route for the next piece

Repeatedly filling the lowest side can close its entrance. Check the next-fruit box and ask whether that piece will still fit after your current move. The two sides do not need to be perfectly level.

  3. Allow room for the result

Two striped melons become a watermelon. There are fewer objects, but the new watermelon still takes up space. Wait to see which way it settles before committing the next drop into a gap that may already be gone.

A shake does not tidy the board for you

Have a particular pair or obstruction in mind before spending one. A shake also moves the small fruit supporting the larger ones, so it can raise the pile as well as open a route. Let one shake finish before deciding to use another.

Decimals in the reward table are progress towards a token, not whole usable tokens. Making one watermelon adds 0.50; making two adds up to one token. The whole-number counter and the filling token graphic show different things.

Check a merge before your next run

Check the pair chain and Golden Banana rules. Select the fruit and the number touching in a single group. This is a rule reference, not a physics simulation.

The result describes one merge, not all possible chain reactions. Two bananas do not merge; three are needed. A later collision can change the board again.

From blueberry to Golden Banana

Two matching fruit create the next fruit in the chain below. Bananas are the exception: three touching bananas create one Golden Banana. Two Golden Bananas disappear, making room and awarding 2,000 points.

Shake tokens

A run begins with five tokens and one shake costs one token. Merge rewards fill the gray token icon gradually. Bigger results fill it faster: a watermelon contributes 0.5 token, a banana contributes 1 token, and a Golden Banana contributes 3 tokens. The smaller fruit results contribute smaller fractions.

Token progress earned by the fruit created in a merge
Created fruitToken progress
Strawberry0.03
Kiwi0.06
Grape0.10
Apple0.15
Peach0.22
Pear0.32
Korean melon0.40
Watermelon0.50
Banana1.00
Golden Banana3.00

For example, two separate merges that each create a watermelon earn 0.50 + 0.50 = one token. The count shows whole tokens; the filling icon shows progress toward the next one. That refill is separate from the red-line warning and is not a countdown. Clearing two Golden Bananas also awards three tokens, using their source type because no new fruit remains.

Shake is strongest when two matching fruit are almost touching or a curved banana is wedged beneath a larger fruit. On a sparse board, saving the token is usually more valuable.
